Making The World A Better Place!!!

If I was able to change the world in one way in order to make it a better place I would get rid of all the materialistic possessions. People are consumed with having the nicest clothes, the coolest car, the biggest house, and whatever else needed to make them feel like they’re better than everyone else or just the hopes of fitting in with the most liked people. The problem is that people let these materialistic items control their lives; people will only hangout with others that have the same things as them and don’t accept anyone who is less fortunate than them. I believe that human beings should never base their relationships with others on what material possessions they have because there is probably more to the person then you know. Some people are not as fortunate as others and can’t afford all the nice things; which are why I wish popularity wasn’t based on how wealthy you are. I think a great way to avoid kids feeling like they don’t belong at school is by having everyone where school uniforms. I think that if teens were to all were school uniforms to schools no one would base friendships off of who has the nicest clothes or the best shoes because everyone would be dressed the same. The point is that people will never realize that material items aren’t everything in life because if you think about it when you die none of these things will follow with you. I get that everyone likes to have nice things, but the problem is people thinks it’s okay to go around bragging about everything they own and take joy in seeing that not everyone can afford nice things like them. I believe if materialistic items never existed people will be a lot more down to earth and no so all about themselves.
