End Bullying

Why are people so cruel, how can you go on living day by day torturing another human being and feel absolutely no remorse? I can truly say people have grown to be crueler then words can ever explain. I can’t explain how upset it makes me to hear how many kids have committed suicide due to all of the bullying they receive from their peers at school; just because they are a different ethnicity or have a different behavior than other people. My whole problem with bullying is what makes people think that there any better than someone else, and what gives them the right to continuously hate on people until they reach there breaking point. If there was one thing I wanted most in this world it would have to be for people to grow and realize that just because what they say does no harm on themselves doesn’t mean the same for the person on the other side being bullied. There are so many ways now for people to bully such as use through the internet, cell phones, or through person; and each way is stilling harming the person the same. My main question is when is this going to be put to an end? It’s obvious that just sitting back and waiting for someone being bullied to come forward isn’t working; we need to do something about it because they should feel just what it’s like for those being bullied. Obviously those who bullied in the first place will never change and well that is just something they will have to live with for the rest of their lives. I don’t care how much you dislike a person and think there weird keep it to yourself because that’s what separates a good person from a heartless person.

The Good Old Days

One of the best times in my life was when my mom and step dad surprised me with a vacation to Dominican Republic. I have to say it was one of the best times in my life; I got to go away to another country with all my family members, and all are close friends that are pretty much considered family. If I was sitting out by the pool soaking up the rays, I was at the swim up bar drinking Bahama mamas, and dirty monkeys. That wasn’t even the best part of the trip I got to go horseback riding for the very first time along the beach, and there was endless room service, which I must say made the trip amazing. There were shows every night for people’s entertainment, where I ended up meeting some cool new people who live in Lancaster. The great part of the resort we stayed at was that there were over 6 pools that had swim up bars, there was different women all along the beach if you wanted to have your hair braided, and there was a bunch of shops all aligned in the front before you entered the lobby. Whenever you wanted a nice fruity drink there was always a bar around for your pleasure. They had constant trolleys to take you from place to place. Every night there was a different place for us to eat at; there were Mediterranean, Mexican, seafood restaurants, and then there were different restaurants that followed along the beach. The best part of having a resort on the beach was that there were so many water activities to take part in; I went banana boating, kayaking, and even scuba diving. Another benefit to that trip was that I and my two brothers had our own room. That vacation was one of the best times in my life and every day I wish I could relive it.

What's Life Without Summer

My favorite season would have to be summer, I love the constant warm weather, being able to put on my swimsuit and hop in my pool, and most of all I love being out of school for two whole months. I love being able to go outside late at night and not have to worry about putting on a jacket so that I don’t get cold, the feeling you get that makes you think you’re on vacation, and the constant thrills that come with being out of school. Summer involves sleeping in, going to the beach with friends to tan it up, and going to all the different ice cream places you can think of. I would give anything for summer to be year round, and that’s why when I graduate from college I plan to move somewhere that’s climate is always high. All my summers have been well spent, and there never has been a dull moment hanging out with all my best friends. I have to say the reason I love summer so much is because I am able to go outside whenever I want and not be trapped in the house every single day of my life. Summer brings about the feeling of constant happiness, not having to worry about making time to complete your homework so you don’t get a failing grade, and the best part is you don’t have to see all the people you can’t stand. Don’t get me wrong fall is another good season but nothing competes with the summertime. In the summer you get to attend as many concerts as you please, there is the fourth of July where you get to enjoy fireworks, and there are also things like going out tubing on boats, having a fun night in a tent with all your friends.

Pros and cons of using Facebook

I have been using Facebook for a few years now, I enjoy being able to go on and read everyone’s statuses, see the pictures people decide to post, and even get the chance to communicate with people on line. Facebook gives me a chance to keep in touch with family and friends that are from other stated and I haven't been able to see in forever. I would have to say there is plenty of pros and cons that come along with using Facebook. Some pros to using Facebook is that it is a quick, and easy way to make new friends online, look at anybody's pictures that you have been hoping to get a look at but haven't had a chance to view, and then there is also the ability to chat with family members or friends that you haven't seen in a while, and send each other personal messages that you don't want everyone to see. Then comes the cons of using Facebook, such as people have the chance to take out their anger on someone using chat, nasty pictures, and hurtful comments on anything attached to their profile. Some more cons that come with Facebook are the constant worries that people your accepting to be friends with people who really aren't who they say they are and are serious creepers. Even though Facebook can come with plenty of cons I think that the pros definitely over power all the cons that come with Facebook, so therefore I will continue to use Facebook because it gives me something to do when there is nothing better to do and I just want to go online and see what all my friends are up to and if they have any specific plans for the night. Facebook is kind of like your own personal spy.

Top Writing Interests

Some things I feel most comfortable writing about are sports I’m involved in, school activities, and things happening out in the community. I find that it’s easy for me to focus on these things and right about them because they grab my attention. I think it would be well worth my time if I spent it writing about topics that trigger my creativity. My favorite topic I would enjoy writing about would be school happenings; such as school dances, battle of the classes, maybe even the different clubs offered throughout the school. I think it would be fun to sit in on Spanish club meeting and take part in what they’re doing, because being there and being involved in the conversations will definitely improve the writing piece then if you weren’t there. If I was to right about those topics I could mention in my articles the different activities people are taking interest in, and I could interview someone going on the Spanish trip this year and ask them things they hope to see and how excited they are to visit a place they have never been to before. When they return from their Spanish trip I can interview them again to get all the details on the trip and what the most exciting part was, and if they would hope to return later in their life. As much as I would enjoy writing about those things I wouldn’t have problem writing about other topics that might draw reader’s attention. There really isn’t any topics I would hate talking about but I would like to stay away from opinionated topics where it’s all a matter of what the reader thinks. Lastly a main topic I would be interested in talking about would be all the seniors’ plans for after high school. Such as what college they want to go to, what their career interest are, and if they plan on staying nearby or dorming .

Over the past years of high school I have to say my favorite period here was sophomore year. I enjoyed sophomore year the most because I was placed in all my friends classes, people were a little bit less dramatic, and I actually really enjoyed the classes I had to take. Sophomore year we were no longer the youngest as freshman but classes were less stressful, and I got along with everyone. I took earth science, geometry, English, global, health, and leadership. I loved leadership the most because it aloud I too step out from the crowd a little more and form my own thoughts extra freely. My least favorite class that year was Earth Science because I struggled to pay attention because it was hard grasping the information. The class helped me opinionate my own voice. In my sophomore year I also appreciated my teachers. They all made the subjects easier to understand and learn. Homecoming sophomore year was the time of my life, my friends and I really knew how to have a good time. After the dance we would collect all the balloons and take them with us for our sleepover. At our sleepover we would suck out all the helium of the balloons and listen to all of our crazy voices. Another fun experience sophomore year was attending all the football games with my friends, and being able to witness them make it to the ralph. Sophomore year I was also a part of the girl’s swim team and was able to experience all the good things that come along with joining a sport. I made new friends and improved my swimming skills, as well as losing that extra weight to feel better about myself. There is so many reasons why Sophomore year was my favorite and there are times I could relive that year.

Accomplishments for senior year

This school year I hope to accomplish several things. One of my top priorities is to figure out my plans for college. I hope by the end of the year that I have a set career, because as of right now I find myself being interested in following the path of a chiropractor. Another accomplishment I hope to fulfill for this school year would be to get my grades up so that any college I want to apply to, I won’t have a problem when it comes to getting in. For this school year I would like to join a bunch of clubs and sports because when it comes time to write my application for college I would have a really good chance of getting in because colleges like to see that you take part in things and are active in the community. For this school year I really just really hope to get along with everyone and attend all the school dances and activities, so that I can have an amazing last year. One of my top goals I hope to achieve this school year would be to take the SAT’S again and get an amazing score. Another hope I have for this school year would be to stand out and not let what other people think about you get in the way, I find that once I get over what everyone else thinks about me life will seem easier and I will be able to try out for something and not care if I get it, I will just be happy that I went for it and took a risk. The most important thing I hope to accomplish this school year would be to get along with everyone and when I leave for college still be close with one another.

9-8-11 Best Summer Ever

This summer I spent most of my time working at DarienLake Theme Park Resort as an Accomodations Hostess. My time was spent checking people inand out of the hotel, as well astaking any complaints the guests had. I also spent part of my summer hanging out with close friends. such as the time two of my best friends and I went camping at her dad's cabin for a whole three days and sitting out by the fire, and taking in all the beautiful scenery. Another activity I partook in was spending a whole nine days down at Virgina Beach with my family, we spent most of the day at the beach, but when we weren't at the beach we walked the boardwalk looking inside all of the shops. The best trip of the summer I saved for last which was when I went with my best friend to Lake George. We spent our time swimming in the lake to see if we could make it to various islands as well as going to golf ball rock (a golf ball wedged inside a rock under water). That trip we would take the boat out, and one of those day we took it to paradise Island and jumped off a huge rock, I must say it was terrifying. The best part of that trip was when we walked up to the Sagamore Resort and used there pool, weight room, and even there activity room. When were all finished at the Sagamore and ready to walk home we would stop at Stewarts and get the best ice cream ever. We even went up to Lake George village and witnessed a fight and a drug bust. I have to say it was defintley a well spent summer.
